Derivation¶
Derivation moves a case to its next task. The process decides which destinations are possible; you choose one when the process asks you to.
Derive a case¶
- Complete the current step.
- Open the derivation panel when it appears.
- Choose the next task or routing option.
- Choose the assignee, if the process asks for one.
- Confirm the derivation.
If the current task is the last one, the derivation can end the process. The case then becomes completed and is read-only for most users.
Routing rules
Only valid destinations are shown. If the destination you expect is missing, a condition in the process may not be satisfied. Contact the process designer.
