Getting started

Open the dashboard from Luos

Audit Logs runs inside Luos. Open it from the Luos menu; the shell (sidebar, topbar, and theme) is provided by Luos.

There is no separate username or password for Audit Logs. Luos signs you in and passes a short-lived session token to the dashboard.

Sign-in and session

  • The dashboard refreshes your session automatically while you work.
  • If refresh is rejected, you are sent to the Session Expired page. Return to Luos, sign in again, and reopen Audit Logs.
  • After a deployment, an older tab may need to reload. The dashboard detects this and reloads once automatically.

Workspaces

A workspace is an isolated tenant. Everything you see — dashboards, logs, cases, processes, exports — belongs to the workspace you opened from Luos.

  • Switching workspace in Luos changes the data in every page.
  • If a workspace cannot be resolved, the dashboard shows a Workspace Error page instead of mixing data from different workspaces.

Roles and team scope

Your Luos role and department decide how much you can see:

  • The Team filter offers the people in your department.
  • Selecting All means all members of your team (plus you), not every user in the database.
  • A user without a team scope sees their own activity.

The Dashboards page lists the dashboards registered by the plugins installed in the application.

First tour

The sidebar has three sections:

Section Contains
Dashboards Overview, User Analytics, Case Analytics, Event Analytics, Document Analytics, Dashboards registry, and dashboards installed by plugins
Audit Log Explorer, Cases, Processes
Monitoring Real-time (preview)

Start with Overview for the headline numbers, then use Explorer when you need the underlying rows.

Read-only data

The dashboard never creates, edits, or approves anything. It reads the workspace audit log and shows it. Actions such as blocking an IP, assigning a case, or scheduling a report are outside this application.

Data freshness

  • Dashboards load when you open them or change a filter.
  • The Explorer can refresh on a timer and has a manual refresh control.
  • The sidebar refresh button reloads the current page data.

Timestamps are displayed in your timezone; see Settings and preferences.

If something looks wrong

  • No data: widen the date range or clear filters; your workspace may not have activity for the selected period.
  • Session Expired: sign in again from Luos.
  • Blank widgets after a deploy: reload the page once.
  • Unexpected timezone: check the timezone reported by Luos and reload; see Settings and preferences.
