Cases

Case Investigation loads one case's complete audit trail. Use it to answer: what happened to this case, in what order, and who was involved?

Load a case

  1. Enter a case number or case UID in the search box in the page header (for example APP_001).
  2. Press Enter or click Search.

You can also deep-link to a case with /cases?case=<number-or-uid>. Related-case links use this form.

If the case has no events, the page shows a clear "case not found" message. If the query fails, it shows a structured error.

Summary card

The header shows the case name (or number), the case number and UID, a status badge, and an Export menu with Export CSV.

The summary is split into four tabs:

Tab Shows
Case Case number, UID, status, created, last activity, duration, event count, participant count
Process Process name, process UID, process ID, number of tasks
Task Task name, task UID, task ID, and the task names seen in the case
People Participants with initials/photos, the current user, and the roles seen

Derivation timeline

A task-occupancy Gantt chart: one horizontal bar per task (first to last activity) with derivation and status changes overlaid as diamond markers. Hover a marker to see the action. Scroll to zoom.

Case timeline

The case's lifecycle events (creation, activation, assignment, reassignment, pause, resume, routing, completion, cancellation, deletion), newest first, with the time, action, actor, and details.

Other cases that the same users touched, with their status and last activity. Click a related case to load it.

Detailed action log

A table of every event in the case: time, actor, event, action, outcome, object, and log ID. It includes events that are not lifecycle changes.

Export

The Export CSV menu downloads every event of the loaded case. The filename is case_<identifier>.csv. See Exports for the format and caveats.

Notes

  • The page is read-only; it never changes a case.
  • Times are shown in your timezone.
  • The case is identified by the audit log, so a case with no audit events cannot be loaded here.
