Processes

Designer → Processes lists the processes in your workspace. Use it to create, edit, import, export, activate, and delete processes.

Process list

The process list shows the owner, the number of cases, and the state of each process.

Find a process

Use the search box to filter the list. The list shows the process name, case count, status, owner, creation date, and last modification date. You can configure which columns are visible.

Select a process to enable the row actions.

Create a process

  1. Choose New.
  2. Enter a name.
  3. Optionally add a description and choose a category.
  4. Save.

The new process opens in the Process Designer.

Edit a process

  1. Select the process.
  2. Choose Edit.
  3. Change the name, description, or category.
  4. Save.

Editing these properties does not change the process design. To change forms, documents, triggers, or routing, open the process in the designer.

Import a process

  1. Choose Import.
  2. Select a .pm, .pmx, or .pmx2 file.
  3. Choose whether to create a new process or overwrite an existing one.
  4. Decide whether to keep the imported process UID or generate a new one.
  5. Analyze the file and confirm.

When a process with the same identity already exists, choose whether to update it or create a separate process.

Export a process

  • Export (.pmx) exports the selected process.
  • Export list exports the process list as CSV, Excel, or PDF.

Activate or deactivate

  • Activate makes the process available according to its configuration.
  • Deactivate stops it from starting new cases.

Deactivating a process does not delete existing cases.

Delete a process

  1. Select the process.
  2. Choose Delete and confirm.

If the process has cases, Delete Cases removes them. This is destructive and may delete only a limited number of cases in a single request; check the confirmation message before you continue.

Deletion is permanent

Export the process before deleting it if you may need it again.

Open the designer

Open the process from the list to enter the Process Designer. Double-click the row to open it directly.
