Web entry¶
Web entry publishes a public form that starts a case without signing in to Lurana BPM. Use it for intake forms: a request, a complaint, a registration.
Configure web entry¶
- Open the process in the designer and select its start event.
- Open Web entry.
- Add the triggers that must run when the form is submitted: drag a trigger into the right-hand panel; it is added to the list.
- Fill in the Link tab (below).
- Choose the authentication behaviour in Properties.
- Save, then open the generated link to test it.
The link¶
| Field | Rule |
|---|---|
| Custom Hostname | A custom domain for the form. It must be a valid host name; an invalid value is refused with a message that does not cover the field |
| Skin | One of the workspace skins. The retired Classic skin is not offered |
| Language | The language the form opens in |
| Generate link using workspace default values (skin, language) | Restores skin, language, and hostname from the workspace; fields that become fixed are shown disabled |
Leaving the hostname empty uses the workspace address.
Authentication¶
With Anonymous authentication selected, two options become checked and disabled, because they no longer apply:
- Hide Logged Information Bar;
- Hide Active Session Warning.
Anonymous forms therefore always open without the application chrome, which is what makes them safe to share publicly.
The Callback action decides what the form does after a successful submission — for example, show a confirmation instead of the case.
Before you publish¶
- Test the link in a private window: no session, no cached theme.
- Confirm the triggers you added run and that the case lands in the expected task.
- Check the form on a phone; these forms are usually opened from a link.
- Treat the link as public: anyone with it can create a case.
