Document activity log

The document activity log shows the events for one document: views, downloads, edits, versions, notes, reclassifications, and status changes.

Open the log

  1. Open the document panel. See Document panel.
  2. Select Log.

The log shows the time, actor, action, and outcome for each event.

Permissions

The document log requires document read access and documento:ver_log.

Relationship to the DMS audit log

  • The document activity log is scoped to one document.
  • The DMS audit log searches across the workspace.
  • The DMS audit log is temporal/transitional; the shared audit service is the long-term audit source.
