Cases¶
A case is one run of a process. The case workspace is where you complete steps, read information, add notes, manage documents, and move the case to its next task.
Open a case¶
You can open a case from any case list, such as Inbox, Draft, or Participated, or from a search result.
The case workspace¶
The workspace combines the current step with side panels:
| Area | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Opening a case | Complete the current step and move through the case |
| Case information | Read case, process, and task details |
| Case actions | Pause, cancel, delete, reassign, or claim |
| Case notes | Record context and notify other people |
| Documents | Uploaded and generated documents |
| Forms | Dynaforms used by the case |
| History | Everything that happened in the case |
| Change log | Field-level changes |
| Message history | Messages sent and received |
| Derivation | Move the case to its next task |
| Debugging | Inspect variables and triggers |
Availability depends on the case
Panels and actions are shown only when the case state and your permissions allow them. A completed or cancelled case is read-only for most users.
