Audit and retention¶
DMS records audit events in its own temporal log and publishes events to the shared audit service.
Not a permanent archive
The DMS audit log is temporal/transitional. It may be replaced by the shared audit service. Do not treat it as a permanent compliance archive.
What is recorded¶
Events cover authentication, documents, case files, administration, repositories, and system activity. Each event records the actor, action, object, outcome, and time.
Retention¶
Retention and cleanup are configurable. The platform can archive or purge old events and can write monthly audit files. Because the DMS log is transitional, confirm the retention policy with your administrator before relying on it.
Document activity log¶
Each document has its own activity log in the document panel. See Document activity log.
Sensitive fields¶
Exporting sensitive audit fields requires auditoria:exportar_sensible. Treat
exports as confidential.
Long-term compliance¶
For long-term audit and cross-product investigation, use the shared audit service when it is available. See Audit and monitoring.
