Worker and cron¶
DMS uses an ARQ worker over Redis for background jobs. Scheduled jobs keep the platform healthy and the data aligned.
Background jobs¶
Typical jobs include:
- OCR and text extraction;
- document preview generation;
- ZIP exports;
- DMS-to-BPM uploads;
- LDAP/AD synchronization;
Scheduled jobs¶
Cron jobs include:
- audit cleanup and archive;
- document archive and expiry notices;
- LDAP/AD sync;
- Explorer index reconciliation;
- dashboard KPI refresh;
- BPM statistics precompute;
- nightly BPM regularization;
- the daily BPM summary email.
Monitor jobs¶
Use Administration → Task queue to see ARQ, OCR, LDAP/AD, and BPM uploads. Use System status to confirm the worker is running.
If jobs are not running¶
- Check the worker container and its Redis connection.
- Check System status and the worker logs.
- Restart the worker if needed.
- Retry the failed job from the task queue.
